The Life

When I started L Bar M™ in 2023 I envisioned it being the home “all of the things” …

The animals, the creative agency, web design and ranch, rodeo and performance horse management, photography, the apparel brands and two women’s platforms.

The backstory goes something like this –

After studying ranch management, animal nutrition and marketing + communications in college, I started building websites, teaching myself every clunky step of the way but I figured it out and I love it.

I had always expressed my creativity in art and photography, building websites was a whole new medium.

What makes me different than a lot of web designers” out there, I already know your world. I don’t have to learn it, adapt to it or guess at what matters.

I live my own version of it every day.

That’s what L Bar M™ Web Design is built on. Not just the technical skills — but a respect for and understanding of this life, this audience and what it takes to tell your story right.

What Sets the L Bar M™ Web Design Apart

On the Cow's Nose

I built L Bar M™ with an “on the cow’s nose” work ethic — not chasing the action from behind, but anticipating the next move and holding the line with absolute intent and that’s exactly how I approach each project. I don’t build websites to follow trends — I design them to get out in front of the competition, tell your story with precision and lock down a dominant position in front of your target niche and market. Every project, every client, every detail — treated with the respect this life and the legacies being built within it deserve.

Principles

My work ethic is simple — be honest, work hard and don’t quit. I’m a very “out-of-the-box” creative thinker who approaches every project – really, every situation I face — from an abstract point of view you won’t find in a template library or a handbook. Just as the AQHA was founded on conviction, I believe these horses are extraordinary and these sports are like nothing else in the world. I bring equal conviction and grit to every project I work on.

Character

Honesty is very important to me — I won’t tell you what I think you want to hear just to get the job. If I don’t believe I can meet your objective, I’ll tell you. With full respect for you, your program and the legacy you’re building, I’ll also tell you what will work and what won’t. I’m a communicator — sometimes awkward and usually better with animals than humans — but always committed and fiercely dedicated to the outcome, never the clock.

Relationships

Building a relationship starts with getting to know you — your personality, your horses, your objectives and your vision. In branding, cohesion is key — the colors you wear, the colors your horse wears,  they’re not just fashion statement — they’re brand statements. My goal is to earn your trust and confidence in building a brand that will carry the legacy you’re working toward, and cultivate the relationships within the industry to propel it further.

Creativity

I have a very unique and creative eye — you might even say a peculiar way of seeing things. But nothing gets placed without intention — not a line, not a font or color, I “see” the graphics before I design them, the colors, fonts and flourishes — every element, empty space and placement. Every bit of it intentional, every detail considered, every visual decision made with purpose and meaning- to make the right statement to the right audience.

Authenticity

There’s something very special about this life. Something we should hold on to  as tight as we can. Something we should work together to preserve. This is my main objective in web design, to support the people, ranches, brands and businesses who make this life happen, who make it possible. This isn’t just a “job” for me  it’s a ride that keeps me driven to exceed all expectations. Your brand stays ahead of the competition, firmly rooted in honor and heritage, with a foundation strong enough for upcoming generations to build on.

The Difference

The difference is in the strategy. One of the many lessons I learned from Ronnie was, “Always pick out an A, B and C cow …” I’ve carried that with me in everything I do, from brand strategy and communication to building pens, etc. While others may react, I’ve already anticipated the next three moves — not playing catch up — maintaining the message, the cohesive visual, always with your objective in mind, keeping it genuine, always real.

get to know Me

Lauren Marie

I’m Lauren — artist, designer, photographer, ranchy woman with the abstract and peculiar pov and the unique and out of the box thinking mind behind L Bar M™.

I taught myself how to build websites twenty five years ago because I needed one and wanted to be able to do it myself. That’s pretty much the story of my life, teaching myself how to do things, how to get things done without having to ask, or needing to ask for help.

Some may find that to be a character flaw, but it’s gotten me through a lot.

I have a very unique and creative eye — and abstract and peculiar pov; a very unique way of seeing things.

In my designs, nothing gets placed without intention — not a line, not a font or color, I “see” the pages before I design them, the colors, fonts and flourishes — every element, empty space and placement. Every bit of it intentional, every detail considered, every visual decision made with purpose and meaning to make the right statement to the right audience.

I build websites for the people behind the ranches, brands, products and businesses that are actively living this life, who want to preserve it and carry it forward for the next generations.

I live my own version of it every day. I may not have the biggest operation in town, but it’s mine, and it’s growing. I love each and every one of my animals, and strive to give them the best life possible.

I’ve been told more than a handful I times that the way I do things just isn’t the way it’s done. That’s probably right. But the way I do things is working – it’s keeping my horses and dogs healthy, my calves alive.

A lot of people find my creativity and constant stream of ideas to be a nuisance, but it’s what’s allowed me to be able to design, build and tell the stories that people need to here.

Our way of life, is in jeopardy, we all need to take a stand to preserve it before it gets lost.

A website may not seem like much, but it’s a platform to tell your story, sell your products and services.
